A quiet house for the modern saree.
House of Vanya™ is a small atelier in Kollam, Kerala, founded in 2026 by Alice — a homemaker, dentist, and lifelong collector of sarees. What began as a private archive of heirlooms is now a considered maison working directly with weavers across Banaras, Kanchipuram, Chanderi, and Balaramapuram.
Every piece is chosen the way Alice buys for herself — hand-touched first, then measured against the light. We do not chase seasons. We ship only what we would drape ourselves.
Our promise is quiet: honest weaves, real provenance, and a fit that respects your body. Behind every drape sits a named weaver, a documented technique, and a maison that answers when you write.
Handwoven, always
Every saree is loom-woven by named artisans. No power looms, no shortcuts, no anonymous supply chains.
Fair to the loom
Weavers are paid ahead of shipment and named on every product page. Provenance is a right, not a marketing line.
Draped, not merely sold
Book a virtual drape with Alice, or let Mika — our AI stylist — pair a saree with your occasion and silhouette.
How Mika works
Mika is our in-house AI stylist, trained on the atelier's own edit of Organza, Chanderi, Kanjivaram and Banarasi. She listens in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Bengali — and replies in the same language you write to her. Every recommendation is reasoned across occasion, fabric, colour, drape, blouse and accessory, and she only ever suggests pieces that are actually in our collection. When a question needs a human — sizing, custom orders, or something delicate — Mika hands you to Aliza, our senior stylist.
Mika never invents inventory, delivery dates or discounts. If she isn't sure, she says so.
